Share, comment and get involved. The more people we educate about the problem, the more we can engage in solutions. Stay up to date with what is going on in Douglas County, as well as what other places are doing about homelessness.

This is Housing First Umpqua's FaceBook Page. Pages are a way for organizations, businesses, brands and public figures to connect with their cause, customers or fans on Facebook.To find us type our organization name in the Search at the top of FaceBook. At our page you can click our Like button and adjust your Following settings. When someone likes a Page, they're showing support for the Page and that they want to see content from it. The Page will show up as being liked in the About section of that person's profile. When someone follows a Page, it means they may receive updates about the Page in their News Feed.

When you Tweet on Twitter you are sending your message out to the Twitterverse (all Twitter users). Anybody that goes to your Twitter page can see your Tweets. Type your Tweet into the compose box at the top of your Home timeline, or click the Tweet button in the navigation bar. When you want to send a message to someone on Twitter you can mention them using their @name in your Tweet. Our’s is @HUmpqua and if you add this in your Tweet we will get a notification. You can also direct message Housing First Umpqua through Twitter. Tap the envelope icon. You’ll be directed to your messages. Tap the message icon (envelope with plus symbol) to create a new message. In the address box, enter the name(s) or @username(s) of the people you wish to send a message to.
Tags such as #HousingFirst or #homelessness will help Twitter users find your Tweets. Tagging your Tweets is a way of labelling or categorizing your Tweet. Searching Twitter for Tags can quickly help you find content that is related to your interests. Adding tags to your Tweets will help boost their visibility in Twitter. The whole idea is to have as many people as possible view your Tweets and using Tags is one way of doing that.
When something is “trending” on social media, it usually means the post or Tweet has been liked, Re-Tweeted (shared) by a massive amount of people. To get something trending you can like the Tweet so others who see the Tweet will see it’s popularity. You can also Re-Tweet the Tweet to share it on your own Twitter Profile and give it more visibility. From there your friends may Like and Re-Tweet it as well, and on it goes from there.
